OUR HISTORY
In the early 2000s, Scott Greene founded North State Hardwoods, which would later become the sister company to High Country Lumber. In March 2007, Scott expanded his vision by purchasing a hardwood sawmill in Wilkes County, North Carolina—marking the beginning of High Country Lumber, LLC.
Since then, the sawmill has continued to grow and evolve through numerous challenges and milestones. Today, we ship hardwood lumber both domestically and internationally, while remaining committed to serving our local community. We take pride in providing high-quality mulch, seasoned firewood, dust, chips, and other products to the customers who make our work possible.
As we look to the future, our goal is to continue expanding our reach, strengthening our relationships, and serving more people and places than ever before.
